Oakland, meet Patty.

No partner? No problem.

Patty is an AI-powered, court-roaming practice partner that uses onboard cameras, 3D tracking and smart sensors to move around the court and customize pace, spin, placement and shot patterns.

Patty’s moving to the Town, and she’s bringing 140 balls, zero attitude and a whole lot of game.

AI-powered. Court-roaming. Ready to work.

Onboard cameras, 3D tracking and smart sensors help Patty move, adapt and build each session around your game. She doesn’t just feed balls - she puts you through your paces.

Rough day? Put it into your backhand. Patty won’t take it personally. She’ll just send you another ball.

First time holding a racket? She’ll take it slow. Feeling competitive? Turn it up. Your pace. Your practice. Your newest Oakland regular.

All rally. No drama.

Patty is on her way to Oakland and expected the first week of November. We’ll announce her first Patty Hour as soon as she’s ready.

Community

More than court time.

Let’s get Oakland playing.

School outings. Nonprofit gatherings. Neighborhood meetups. A good idea that just needs a place to happen.

We’re opening with two courts and a bigger ambition: bringing people together through play. We’d love to hear from teachers, coaches, local organizations and neighbors who want to help make that happen.

About Oakland Padel

Built by Oaklanders. For the people.

We’re Oaklanders who fell in love with padel - and the community it creates. We brought our kids and their friends across the bridge, handed everybody rackets and had an absolute blast - even when half the game was really just chasing balls. We loved every chaotic minute. We just didn’t love spending nearly $150 an hour to make it happen.

So we bought two state-of-the-art courts and built a different model: more affordable, closer to home and designed so more families, friends and first-timers can get in the game.

Thanks for helping us bring padel to the people.

Ready to play?

  • Do I need a racket or balls?

No. Rackets and balls are included, although you are welcome to bring your own.

  • How does court pricing work - and why does Oakland Padel cost less?

Brand-new professional-grade courts. $18.75 per person per hour when four players split the court — $75 per court, per hour, or about $28 each for 90 minutes. We keep the outdoor model simple so East Bay players get more time on court without crossing the bridge.

  • Don’t have four players?

No problem. You book the court, not individual places: $75 per court, per hour. The $18.75 hourly share assumes four players split the court; fewer players share the same court price. Special offers and matches with Patty are coming soon.

  • Can I bring the kids?

Yes. The fenced lot has room for kids to move around and play while remaining in the care of their adults.

  • Do you offer a kids rate?

Family Court Hours are coming soon, with offer details to follow.

  • When can I play?

Courts are expected to be delivered late November, with a soft opening targeted for mid-December — a target, not a confirmed date. Once open, courts will be available 24/7. Booked players also have access to the indoor lounge and bathrooms during their reserved court time, regardless of the hour.

  • How do I get in?

Entry is by access code, sent to you before your booked session. The code works for your reserved court time.

  • How do I pay?

Reserving today is free. Payment details will follow before opening.

  • Can we bring food, the kids or a bigger group?

Yes. Bring lunch, pack a cooler or order delivery and make a few hours of it. The fenced lot has room for groups, games and kids to move around.

Your first rally is just the beginning.

Want to see where this game can take you?

The reflexes. The recoveries. The ball you thought nobody could reach. Watch the world’s best turn four walls into endless possibilities.

How did padel get here?

Padel began in Acapulco, Mexico, in 1969, when Enrique Corcuera created a court at his home. It later took hold in Spain and Argentina and grew into an international sport with professional competition. FIP history
